WND Advocacy Workshop on Economic Agency Opened

BEKAA — On Monday, October 5, 2026, an Advocacy for Economic Agency workshop officially launched in Bekaa, focusing on narrative building and campaign strategies to support feminist advocacy frameworks.

The workshop is organized by Women Now for Development. Its core objectives are to highlight women’s right to economic inclusion, home-based income generation, and women-led community responses, as well as to empower participants to pilot advocacy components and campaign messaging linked to their grassroots initiatives.

The broader Women’s Solidarity Fund program in the Bekaa region, also spearheaded by Women Now for Development, aims to strengthen the leadership, economic agency, and conflict resolution skills of Lebanese and Syrian women, preparing them to design and advocate for grassroots initiatives that center on rights and resilience.

Over the course of six  days, 30 Lebanese and Syrian women will be mentored by Dr. Hana Nahhas (media expert) on advanced advocacy strategies, communication best practices, media relations, and digital campaigns.

This initiative marks a significant step forward in building a unified, resilient front for women’s economic rights across the region.
